My undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Maryland - Baltimore County. My college coursework was well-rounded in the liberal arts. I earned an A in courses such as philosophy, art history ("Caverns to Cathedrals" periods), physical geography. I earned a BA (Bachelor of Art) degree in social work in May 2010. My overall GPA (Grade Point Average) in my major course of study was a 3.8 (of 4.0). My minor course of study was psychology.
Experience
I have a strong background in academic English. While a high school senior, I was enrolled in English composition & literature courses at the University of Southern Maine. I earned an A in both courses. Additionally, I earned college credit (while in high school) for United States history & European history through the AP (Advanced Placement) program. I was in the top 15% of my high school graduating class. In 2005, I participated in a cultural immersion program for Korean adoptees at Inje University in South Korea. I was a conversational English tutor in exchange for participation in the program. I really enjoyed this tutoring experience because it was a great way for my students and I to learn about another culture.
